CN to host open house to give community a glimpse of new training facility

Homewood Animal Hospital clients have been wondering why the business closed without notice late in April.

Veterinarian Inderdeep Singh said Wednesday the hospital closed because of bankruptcy. Singh owned the business for the past three and a half years.

Singh said he understood his clients were interested in having access to their pets’ health records, but he no longer has control over the records.

He said the financial institution he worked with now controls all assets of the business and would not likely release that information.

Other veterinary services will have an opportunity to acquire the hospital’s client information when the assets of the business are liquidated, he said.

He wasn’t sure how long the process would take.

“I’ve never been through anything like this,” he said.

Singh indicated he was sorry the business had to close abruptly.

“It was great working there. I really enjoyed it,” he said.
