Homewood Schools among the first in Illinois to move from paper testing to computer

Apollo

Apollo

Apollo is a 2-year-old German Shepherd.  His owners surrendered him because they didn’t have the time to manage their children and his needs.

He is a very large dog that will need a family with older or no children.  He enjoys the company of other dogs but, because of his size, will do best with other dogs his size.  He is fun and affectionate and wants a home that will spend time exercising him and giving him direction.  He is housebroken, crate trained and knows several commands.

There is no fee to adopt since a kind individual has sponsored his adoption fee, but donations are always welcomed and encouraged.

Mohawk

Mohawk

Mohawk is a 1-year-old wire-haired Pointing Griffon mix.  He was transferred to SSHS from another shelter that did not have room for him.  He is a large dog with a big heart that loves people of all ages!  His favorite activity is playing fetch with a tennis ball.  He really has an impressive look and personality, which is the reason another kind individual has sponsored his adoption fee as well.

For more information or general questions, feel free to contact Lizz Molina at [email protected].  All dogs can be seen during regular shelter hours at South Suburban Humane Society in Chicago Heights.  Please be sure to bring all family members (including any dogs) if you are planning to adopt.
