Homewood’s first winter festival, Holiday Lights, is set for Friday, Dec. 5. The Dec. 3 edition of the village e-newsletter lists the schedule of activities.
3 p.m. — Foundation 153 Holiday Tree Sales begin on Martin Avenue near Homewood Florist.
5:45 p.m. — Celebration of Saint Nicholas at St. Joseph Church, 17951 Dixie Highway.
6 p.m. — Christkndle Market opens on Martin Avenue and trolleys running throughout downtown. Shops announce the evening’s discounts.
7 p.m. — The 26th annual tree lighting ceremony and visits with Santa at Irwin Park.
7:30 p.m. — Ice carving demonstrations begin on Martin Avenue at Kroner Avenue and live reindeer petting zoo.
8 p.m. — Santa arrives on Martin Avenue.
