  • Continuation of consideration for a special use permit, landscaping variance and site plan review for 7Brew Drive-Through Coffee Shop at 17855 Halsted St.

Baby Bloomers. Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, will host story time for children aged birth to 2.5 years old and their caregivers. There will be stories, songs, bubbles and free play in the Rauch Reading Room from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Register here.

Computer Class for Adults: Introduction to Word. This class for adults will introduce the basics of using Microsoft Word to draft, save and print digital documents. Experience with a mouse and keyboard is required for this class. The class will meet from 10 a.m. to noon in the Helen Wilson Meeting Room at Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave. Call the library at 708-798-3600 to signup for this program.

Mahjong for Beginners. Beyond the Book, 18063 Dixie Highway, will host Mahjong 101 for beginners or people looking to sharpen their skills from 5 to 7 p.m. Come solo or bring a friend. Register here.

Gentle Yoga. Gail of Blissful Light Yoga will lead a class from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Helen Wilson Meeting Room at Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave. The session will focus on stretching, meditation, relaxation and breathing. Herbicide Application. Flossmoor Public Works Department will be applying an organic herbicide to landscape beds, sidewalks and curb lines May 13-15 between 4 and 11 a.m. at  four village-owned parking lots. For more details on the organic herbicide, click here.
