Harris heads Thornton Township Democratic ticket, leaving Henyard out

The Thornton Township Democratic Party held a raucous caucus tonight in Homewood Auditorium Tuesday, Dec. 3.

A slate of candidates headed by state Sen. Napoleon Harris, running as supervisor, was approved by voice vote, according to Lansing Journal reporter Carole Sharwarko, who was in the room when the vote was taken.

The result leaves current supervisor Tiffany Henyard without a place on the ballot in the township election in April. We’ll have more details and video tomorrow.
