Homewood Public Library Board of Trustees will meet at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the library, 17917 Dixie Highway. The agenda will be posted here. The board will hold a public hearing on the property tax levy ordinance followed by the regular board meeting.
GoodSpeed Delivery Volunteers. GoodSpeed Cycle is looking for bike riders who have a kid or cargo trailer and would be willing to help deliver holiday wreaths on Dec. 6. The delivery service is part of the Cancer Support Center‘s wreath sale fundraiser. Deliveries will start at 1 p.m. and be done before dark. To sign up, click here.
Homewood-Flossmoor Holiday Lights Tour. Homewood and Flossmoor are introducing a holiday event intended to become a new tradition: the Homewood-Flossmoor Holiday Lights Tour. The villages are inviting residents to sign up to be featured on the self-guided tour map. There will also be trolley rides to view holiday displays. The deadline to sign up is Nov. 28. The first 50 homes will be included in the official tour on Dec. 12. Any submissions after 50 will be included in the self-guided tour.
