Homewood-Flossmoor Park District Community Input Meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in The Clubhouse at Dolphin Lake, Governors Highway and 183rd Street in Homewood. The district is updating its master plan and asks for input from residents.
History of the Electoral College. The League of Women Voters of the Homewood-Flossmoor Area will host a meeting at 7 p.m. to provide information on the history of the Electoral College. The meeting will take place in the Flossmoor village hall board room, 2800 Flossmoor Road. The speaker will be David Brodnax Sr., professor of history at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights and an adjunct professor at the University of Iowa College of Law.
Ollie’s Grand Opening. The discount store will celebrate its opening from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 3043 W. 183rd St. in Homewood. Ollie’s is in the former Big Lots location.
Hysteria in Salem. Actor Terry Lynch will portray magistrate John Hawthorne to recount “the hysteria, paranoia and resulting trials that took place during the mid-17th century in Salem, Massachusetts.” The one-man show will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Helen Wilson Meeting Room at the Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave. Registration is not required.
