Rodgers leaves art legacy at St. Paul Community Church

Pastor Frank Rodgers will preside over his last service at St. Paul Community Church on Sunday, Jan. 26, ending a more than eight year term leading the church's ministry. After 34 years as a United Church of Christ pastor and after delivering more than 1,500 sermons, Rodgers and his wife, Vicki Berlanga, are retiring to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Summer events

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
