The Illinois State Board of Education has released its annual Illinois Report Card, a rundown of how each school and school district in the state is performing.
Compiled from information ISBE collects from every Illinois public school, the Report Card offers demographics and statistics about school districts and individual schools, comparing them to statewide data.

The Illinois Report Card consists of two main components, a Snapshot that provides highlights and an online report card that delivers more in-depth information.
Schools are given one of four designations to help communities understand how well schools are serving students: Exemplary School, Commendable School, Underperforming School and Lowest-Performing School. The purpose of the designation is to identify schools that need additional funding and assistance to improve performance.
Below is a list of Homewood and Flossmoor school districts with links to each Snapshot page.

To find a school, select “Schools in District” from the menu on the right of the page. To view the full report card of any district or school, click “ISBE Report Card” on the institution’s Snapshot page.
Details on the extensive report cards include the number of low-income students and homeless students; student-to-staff ratios; class size, teacher demographics; school district finances; and participation in specialty classes, college preparation courses and exams.
Homewood School District 153: All three schools rated as Commendable Schools.
Flossmoor School District 161: Parker Junior High rated as an Underperforming School, the other four schools rated as Commendable Schools.

Homewood-Flossmoor High School (District 233): Rated as a Commendable School.
