  The Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet & Fitness Club  hosted the Midwest Adaptive Tennis competition.  Two teams advanced to nationals in Florida in  December. (Provided photo) The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will have two teams competing in the United States Tennis Association’s National Adaptive Unified Doubles Tournament in Florida. 
Adaptive player Matt Boerema and his partner Milan Miskovic Sr. won the USTA Midwest section in play Oct. 13 at the Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet & Fitness Club. Finalists were Nick Brozek and his partner David Loo.

  • Pride Party at the Flossmoor Community Church Community House, 847 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor. The family-friendly event will have food, music and other entertainment from 5 to 8 p.m.
