Bactroban | And No Prescription

Kindergarten classes at Willow School set the “way back machine” for the 1950s on Friday, Nov. 2, to mark the 50th day of classes in Homewood District 153.

There were girls who came in with pink poodle skirts and pony tails and boys wearing white shirts, rolled up jeans and leather or letterman jackets.

And how do you remember the 1950s?  With a sock hop!

Because it’s so 60 years ago, these five-year-olds couldn’t tell teacher Amy Brecheisen who Elvis Presley was, but once their shoes came off and they got the chance to dance, they bopped around the classroom for their sock hop as Elvis sang “All Shook Up.”

Mom volunteers Jodi Klyn and Monica Huizinga came in to help make the root beer floats for all to enjoy.

Throughout the day, kindergarten teachers incorporated math and reading projects that centered around 50.
