Antivert | Pharmacy Cod Saturday Delivery

“Mr. and MissCast,” a night of cabaret entertainment with a twist, is set for Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Flossmoor Community Church Community House, 847 Hutchinson.

While guests will recognize the musical selections from Broadway shows, including “Funny Girl,” “Rent,” “Avenue Q,” “Waitress” and others, the works will take on new meaning when sung in role reversal from how they were intended.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Free-will offerings will be accepted. Between 6:30 and 7 p.m., Blondies Vodka will be offering taste-testing samples. The performance begins at 7 p.m.

The “gender bender” benefit is supporting Lighthouse LGBTQ+, a support group for teens and young adults who are processing their sexual and gender identity. Lighthouse also provides special programming throughout the year for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

It is organized by actor/vocalist Brandon Willard of Homewood. It is the second year for the cabaret. Willard said he is giving his time to the event because he wants young adults finding their identity to have a strong support network through Lighthouse LGBTQ+, something he didn’t have growing up as a young gay man.

Willard will be joined on stage by fellow actors/singers Annie Calderon of Flossmoor who performed last year, and Tyler Mcmahon, Qiana McNary and Meghan Hoyt. All have worked on a professional level.
