The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District’s Coyote Run Golf Course in Flossmoor had its longest season on record — 310 days.
Dave Ward, superintendent of golf, reported to the park board that the unseasonably mild winter allowed the park district to open the course Feb. 17, 2017, the earliest opening day in its history. The season, that officially closed Dec. 24, was the longest golf season at the course.
