A woman was uninjured when two thieves took her purse during a daylight armed robbery in a store parking lot on Halsted Street in Homewood on Tuesday.
Homewood police said the shopper was returning to her car outside Target, 17605 S. Halsted St., shortly after 1:30 p.m. when she was approached by two men who grabbed her purse.

One of the subjects displayed a handgun.
The victim ran for help, and the offenders were last seen leaving the area on foot.
The Homewood Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the incident. Police ask anyone who has information to contact the Homewood Police Department at 708-206-3420.
