State Rep. Anthony DeLuca will host a women’s self-defense seminar from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 29, at Rich East High School gym, 300 Sauk Trail in Park Forest.
Martial arts instructor master Daniel Kocsis will provide free self-defense instruction. He will discuss and demonstrate ways to maintain awareness and physically defend yourself in various circumstances.
Practical techniques will be taught, and women who are interested are encouraged to attend. Safety techniques can be customized. This allows anyone, including those with physical limitations, to learn and participate.
