Fans of Washington Square Pancake House at 17815 Halsted St. in Homewood have a narrowing window of opportunity to get in a last meal there. 
 

Owner Jim Tsakonas said Friday that the restaurant would be open Monday, July 4, but that will be the last day. 

Property owner BSG LLC did not renew the restaurant’s lease. The restaurant building is slated to be demolished by mid-July to make way for a new Krispy Kreme doughnut shop.

Tsakonas had hoped to find a new location for his restaurant, but he said the right opportunity has not presented itself.
