HOMEWOOD BOARD — Trustees will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, in village hall, 2020 Chestnut Road. Find the agenda here. The board will consider a redevelopment agreement with DP Homewood  LLC/Bana Three Corporation for property at 3043-3055 183rd Street, site of the former Brunswick/Big Lots businesses. The board will also consider recommending the county grant a Class 8 property tax incentive to aid the project.

HEATHER HILLS COMMUNITY INPUT MEETING — The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will host a community meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Goldberg Administration Center, 3301 Flossmoor Road. The tennis courts located at Heather Hill Park in Flossmoor are slated to be removed as part of a village drainage project. The park district plans to build new courts at Highlands Park just south of the current location. The district is asking for guidance from residents about what they would like to see at the new courts.

TRAUMA-INFORMED SELF DEFENSE — Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, will host this workshop led by Lindsey Daehnke from Strictly Self-Defense for adults aged 18 and up from 6 to 8 p.m. Register here.
