Homewood Police Reports: Nov. 1, 2015

No charges have been filed in a fatal traffic accident Saturday that claimed the life of a former Homewood man. 

Homewood police said a pedestrian was walking south-southeast across 183rd Street near Gottschalk Avenue shortly before 1 p.m. when he was struck by an eastbound car. The identity of the driver was not released.

The pedestrian, Michael Wexler, 52, a native of Homewood who lived in Chicago, was transported to South Suburban Hospital and later transferred to Christ Hospital. He was pronounced dead at 9:03 p.m., according to the . . .
