Flossmoor library invites the DIY crowd to its Inspiration Station

Homewood and Flossmoor police, fire and ambulance crews responded about 12:45 p.m. Saturday to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian on 183rd Street in Homewood.

Residents at the corner of 183rd Street and Gottschalk Avenue said they believe the pedestrian was crossing to the south when he was struck by an eastbound car. The man was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.

At 1:15 p.m. 183rd Street was still blocked while police investigated the incident.
