H-F alumna adds ‘The Black Panthers’ to filmmaking resume

South Suburban Family Shelter announced this week its new holiday greeting card design. Sales of the card help the shelter services to victims of domestic violence.

The card features an original photo image by Lenore Holt-Darcy, taken along Chicago’s lakeshore.  The message inside reads “May the peace and joy of this season be yours throughout the New Year.”

A package of 10 cards sells for $10.

Also, general tribute cards to honor a special occasion or to make a contribution in memory of someone are available for a minimum contribution of $5 per card.

Tribute cards may be purchased and sent by an individual, or may be sent by SSFS for additional mailing cost.

The tribute card features a quilt that was designed and created by SSFS clients and staff.  The quilt by SSFS was shared with the Chicago Metropolitan Battered Women’s Network for its community quilt project, a symbol of unity across the domestic violence movement.
