Local entrepreneur sweetens the world

A jogger suffered a cut during an attempted robbery late Thursday on Highland Avenue, according to Homewood police.

The man reported he was accosted near the intersection of Highland and Olive Road about 9:28 p.m. Another man approached him from behind, put him in a headlock and pointed a pocket knife at his neck, police said.

The assailant demanded the jogger's wallet and phone. During a brief struggle, the jogger was cut on the arm and told police he believes the assailant might have been cut on his leg.
