Rep. Robin Kelly will host a hiring event for residents of the 2nd Congressional District from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, Oct. 16, in the gymnasium of South Suburban College, 15800 State St., South Holland. 

Companies and agencies participating this year include ComEd, Metra, Illinois Tollway, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, James McHugh Construction, U.S. Postal Service, Illinois State Police, Pace Suburban Bus Service, Comcast and the Chicago Transit Authority.
