The Village of Homewood will host its annual Hobo Night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The event will take place at the Homewood Rail Park at Park Avenue and Chestnut Road, just north of the Homewood train station.
Homewood’s one-man band, M.G. Bailey, will perform train-themed songs, as well as lead a sing-along. Storyteller Railroad Joe will regale the audience with yarns from the olden rail days. Attendees are encouraged to wear hobo costumes and there will be a best costume prize.
Everyone will also receive a goodie bag upon arrival with all the ingredients necessary for s’mores.
“Homewood takes pride in its long relationship with the railroad,” Mayor Rich Hofeld. “Hobo Night is a fun way for the whole family to experience a little slice of life from a gone-by era. And the tours of the engine and caboose are a unique experience.”
Admission is free and the event is open to the public. For more information visit www.HomeSweetHomewood.com.
