Children gathered around as flag bearers Belinda Mendoza and Ricardo Cyril properly folded the old United States flag that had been raised daily at St. Joseph School in Homewood. They then raised a new flag presented to the school by the members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Wally Burns Memorial Post 8077 in Homewood on Aug. 26.
