The Leaders in Theatre Ensemble at Homewood-Flossmoor High School will give four performances of the Q Brothers’ “Funk It Up About Nothin’,”  an outrageous “hip-hoptation” based on Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing.”

Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Aug. 14 and 15, and Aug. 21 and 22, at the H-F Mall Auditorium. The production is directed by J.R. Rose, H-F English teacher. The student assistant director is Tina Calhoun, and the student technical director is Logan Nordman.  

Cast members are Emma Anderson, Kenneth Bivens, Rashun Carter, Kennedy Chandler, Joey Cipriano, Elaina Dague, Mizani Day, Shelby Dorsey, Sydney Dubose, Sarah Esparza, John Geary, Rosie Joyce, Will Knox, Ethan Runburg, Mandy Sigale, Sarah Skorupa and Maggie Sullivan.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets  will be available at the door.
