Students’ lemonade stand proceeds to help teacher who lost home

Voters in Homewood and Flossmoor interested in higher education may apply by Aug. 3 for an open seat on the Prairie State College (PSC) Board of Trustees. The new trustee will serve until the April 2017 election.

Trustee Peg Donohue resigned from the board after serving for eight years.

Donohue worked for many years at Governors State University. She also has been involved in numerous south suburban organizations.

Candidates must be a registered voter who has lived in the PSC district for at least a year prior to Aug. 25. Applicants must submit a letter of interest and a complete prospective member profile. Additional information and forms are available online at prairiestate.edu/about-us/board-of-trustees.

Applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 3. Selected candidates will then be interviewed. The selection will be made shortly afterward and the new board member will be sworn in Aug. 25.
