Homewood School District 153 to conduct preschool screenings

You can register to vote and test your civics knowledge when you visit the booth hosted by the League of Women Voters of Homewood-Flossmoor at the Homewood Farmers Market.

The booth will be staffed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, and again Aug. 8, Aug. 22 and Oct. 3.

Anyone over the age of 18, or anyone 17 years old who will be 18 by November 2016, is eligible to vote. Registrants must present two pieces of identification, such as a driver’s license or state ID card, a university ID card, a utility bill with current address, a paycheck with your address or bank statement.

If you’ve moved since you last voted, changed your name or made any other changes, volunteers will help you update your voter registration.

Ready for a short civics quiz that will give you the chance to test your knowledge of U.S. government?  Try it out at the LWV-HF booth.

“It’s just for fun – no grades will be given,” promises Erin Roeper, co-president of the group. “If you have questions about elections or others related to voting, we would enjoy chatting with you.”

The Farmers Market is in the parking lot adjacent to village hall at Chestnut Road and Harwood Avenue.
