Quarantine Music video series mixes fun, inspiration
Amid the annoying disruptions of the pandemic there are also some disruptions of a more felicitous nature, like Anne Colton deciding to make music videos. The documentary filmmaker, in partnership with the Homewood Arts Council and South Sub Music Live, has released five music videos featuring local musicians.

H-F band has three leaders for 2019-20 season
Two drum majors and a field commander are sharing leadership for the 200-member Homewood-Flossmoor High School band this year. Seniors Alex Contreras of Chicago Heights and Jazz Jabulani of Glenwood are drum majors and junior Kirkland Benson is a field commander.
Musicians at the market play through rain
The McDowell Brothers play on at the Homewood Farmers Market in spite of a steady rain falling on Saturday, June 15. The market was not as busy as usual, probably because of the weather, but vendors and patrons were there, carrying on with the summer ritual.
