Big machines will rule in Homewood on May 20-21
Big machines will be on display and in action May 20-21 at the annual Homewood Rail Fest, the Homewood Public Works Open House and the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District’s Touch a Truck event. The Homewood Science Center will host a PopUp Science event with activities that explore the physics of railroads and rollercoasters.

Youth robotics group hosts regional competition Saturday
The robotics competition is free and open to the public. It takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at Marian Catholic High School, 700 Ashland Ave., Chicago Heights. It’s the first time that HF Robotics has sponsored a regional competition.
