Local nature organizations accepting orders for native plant sale

Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve (HIWP) and Thorn Creek Audubon Society (TCAS) are co-sponsoring a native plant sale. Deadline to pre-order is March 1. Thirty-seven different plants will be offered, including trees, shrubs, flowers and ornamental grasses. Plants are chosen to represent different colors, textures, sun exposures and bloom times. Winning photos announced for Izaak Walton 2020 calendar

Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve recently announced the winning entries for its 2020 wall calendar. Nearly 60 photographers submitted entries as part of a contest conducted in September. There are 14 winning entries, including one photo for each of the 12 months plus the front and back covers.
