Drive-in movie helps fill gap left by Independence Day event cancellations
The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of Fourth of July festivities, including the Homewood parade and the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District’s Family Fun Fest, but the two agencies, in collaboration with the village of Flossmoor and Homewood-Flossmoor High School, filled the gap with the “Quarantine Cinema” drive-in movie.
Nancy Spaniak retires from H-F High administrative position
Dr. Nancy Spaniak, director of curriculum, instruction and professional development, is retiring from her position at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. The District 233 school board wished her well and thanked her for the 16 years of leadership she has shown. Her contract ends June 30.
