H-F staff plans for graduation and special senior event

Homewood-Flossmoor High School will have a graduation and an event for seniors, but COVID-19 regulations mean neither will look like the traditional events of past years.

When members of the senior class petitioned in February for a graduation ceremony and something that would resemble the prom, administrators said they were working on plans. 

Nothing is final, Principal Jerry Anderson said during the school board’s Planning Committee meeting Thursday, March 18.

Fall events

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.

Saturday, Oct. 15

  • Dia de los Muertos in downtown Homewood. Details to follow.
