Tyler Schlaffer has been a fan of the Chicago Cubs from the sandbox. Ever since he was little, the Homewood-Flossmoor High School alumnus dreamed of playing for that major league baseball team. Now he’s celebrating his literal dream come true, after being drafted by the Cubs in early June.
H-F varsity baseball head coach John McCarthy took over the baseball program last June and has brought a new energy to the team since joining the staff.
