The Triumph Building at the southwest corner of Ridge Road and Martin Avenue is slated to be demolished this summer to make way for a new mixed-use building. Homewood trustees approved a zoning change Tuesday in preparation for the project.

The long-awaited downtown food co-op, Beans & Greens, will open in downtown Homewood at noon Wednesday, Sept. 21, according to an email announcement from its parent organization, the South Suburban Food Co-op (SSFC).
Her shop’s new location never quite worked out, so Nathalie Goich is hanging up her retail hat after 17 years running Nathalie’s Interiors in downtown Homewood. Goich is conducting a liquidation sale at 2045 Ridge Road through September.
