Homewood extends deadline for proposals on Ridge Road property, village hall parking lot

Homewood officials announced on Oct. 30 that the deadline for submitting proposals to redevelop two village-owned properties was extended to Nov. 21.

The sites include at 2066 Ridge Road, commonly known as the Matrix Building, and 2024 Chestnut Road, which serves as the village hall parking lot.

Homewood purchased the building at 2066 Ridge Road in 2022. Village officials hope to attract a developer. There has been interest in the property, but in order to fulfill the village's goal of increasing population density downtown and to create a financially viable project, the existing structure will likely be demolished.
