Body discovered in Coyote Run pond
The body of a 66-year-old white man was recovered from a pond on Coyote Run Golf Course in Flossmoor Thursday. Around 7 a.m., Flossmoor police responded to a call from maintenance workers at the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District course, who reported discovering a body in a pond on the east side of the property.

Five H-F grads receive teachers union scholarships
The Homewood-Flossmoor Education Organization, the teachers union at H-F High School, presented five $550 scholarships to outstanding graduates. Recipients included Bailey Sheridan, Alexandria Wilson, Jaira Stanley, Destiny Montgomery and Josephine Bachus.
Get up close with first-ever Flossmoor Touch A Truck
Residents can take a closer look at the machinery Flossmoor Public Works employees use to get their work done during the village’s first ever Touch A Truck event Saturday. The free event features demonstrations of public works equipment and vehicles, such as a garbage truck, backhoe, snowplow, bucket truck and stump grinder.
