Body discovered in Coyote Run pond

The body of a 66-year-old white man was recovered from a pond on Coyote Run Golf Course in Flossmoor Thursday. Around 7 a.m., Flossmoor police responded to a call from maintenance workers at the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District course, who reported discovering a body in a pond on the east side of the property.

A recovery mission by the MABAS 24 dive team later recovered the man’s body
 
In a preliminary examination, no obvious signs of trauma to the deceased man were observed, according to police. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
 
The man’s body was transferred to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office for examination. A representative of the office said an autopsy is scheduled for Friday and results should be available late in the afternoon.
