For the second year in a row, a Homewood-Flossmoor High School team has been selected to compete at the National Scholastic Championship quizbowl competition this weekend, June 10 and 11.
Annual Drivin’ the Dixie car tour route goes through Homewood and Flossmoor
The 16th annual Drivin’ the Dixie event on Saturday, June 17, marks the 102nd year of Dixie Highway, a major state thoroughfare and one of the nation’s early interstate highways. Drivers will take to Dixie Highway from Blue Island to Momence, stopping in Homewood and Flossmoor along the way.

Park board approves new membership plan at racquet club
