Racquetball is a family tradition for Bob Adams of Homewood. Today three generations play the game, and Bob and his sons meet each week for a friendly game or two at the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District’s H-F Racquet & Fitness Center.

H-F High students win three top honors in state dramatics competition
Homewood-Flossmoor High School students won three top honors at the Illinois High School Association’s Group Interpretation and Contest Play competition. In addition, 10 H-F students were selected for the All-State Cast.

H-F High School pool will get $3.6 million in major improvements this summer

Work set to begin on Millennium Park’s Splash Pad
Young children will get to enjoy a 2018 model of the Splash Pad this summer. Construction on the new amusement is expected to begin in early April and be open to the community on Memorial Day weekend.

Technology connects D153 students with classrooms around the world
Can you imagine Homewood students talking with students in Poland or Puerto Rico, or visiting the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland? Those are just a few of the 22 destinations students in Homewood District 153 have been able visit and learn about through Skype the past several months.
Park district budget shows future improvements
New carts for Coyote Run Golf Course, work to make the Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center accessible to people with disabilities and roof repairs at the H-F Ice Arena are included in the 2018-19 budget proposed by directors at the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District.
