Park board finalizes bond sale for ice arena work 

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District finalized the sale of $5.5 million in general obligation bonds to fund the work at the H-F Ice Arena.   • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
