Homewood trustees to consider local gas tax, alternative water sources
Homewood trustees will consider a measure Tuesday to add a 3-cent per gallon tax to gasoline sold in the village. If implemented, and in combination with an expected increase in Motor Fuel Tax revenue from the state, the village could more than double the funds used for the street resurfacing program.
Matteson teen shot in Ford Heights found dead in Homewood
An 18-year-old man who was shot at a gathering in Ford Heights was found dead near 183rd Street and Highland Avenue early Friday, according to a Chicago Sun-Times report.
