Dave passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025.  Dave was born in Harvey, IL.  He was a longtime resident of Homewood, IL, and Park Forest, IL.  Dave was preceded in death by his parents, father Jack Kurtz, mother Elizabeth Kurtz, stepmother Charlotte Kurtz and his brother and best friend, Chris Kurtz.

Dave leaves behind the love of his life, Robin Linder, his devoted brother, Bob (Cherie) Kurtz, his loving sister, Karen (Ron) Letizia, his brother Matt Carlson, and his dedicated and loving sister-in-law, Heather.  He will also be deeply missed by his nieces Katrina Wagner and Elizabeth Kurtz and his nephew, John (Keerie) Kurtz. 

Dave’s greatest joy in life was being a father.  He was endlessly proud of his daughters, Rachel Bonk (Adam) and Jennifer Lynn, and was a devoted and joyful grandfather to Beckham, Monroe, Sunshine, Orion, Vann, Lulu and Adriane. 

To know Dave was to feel loved.  He was generous, supportive and always ready with a laugh.  He cherished his family, loved ones and friends and his kindness and humor left an imprint on everyone he met.  Dave will be remembered with deep affection, gratitude and enduring love.
