New look planned for H-F Park District

It’s time to refresh the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District image. Slate Communications has been hired to tackle the project.

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District
expects to replace this logo when it
adopts a rebranding plan

It’s been about 15 years since the park district adopted the current logo, and park board commissioners decided to make the change. At its Oct. 7 meeting, commissioners agreed to a contract of up to $60,000 for Slate to work on rebranding and website redesign services.

The board had budgeted $100,000 for the project and will use the remaining funds to start replacing signage, facility logos and other representations.

Bob Birgel, the park district’s public relations manager, said Slate staff will meet with park board commissioners, stakeholders and staff to understand what’s important to the park district, as well as take a tour of the park district’s facilities to help develop design proposals for consideration.

Board President Brent Bachus asked for community forums so residents “can feel it, touch it, get involved so their voices are heard.”
