The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is working with local health departments, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to investigate a multistate outbreak of Escherichia coli O103 (E. coli) linked to sprouts served at Jimmy John’s restaurants.
Jimmy John’s notified stores to remove sprouts from its menu nationwide on Feb. 22.
According to the CDC, 14 cases in five states have been reported.…
