Churchill School choir members raised their voices in song for two programs at Willow School the morning of Thursday, April 25.
Since December the fourth and fifth graders had been rehearsing this program, which was part of their spring concert. They sang four songs in the large gym as Willow students sat on the floor. After each song, they gave a round of applause.
Music teacher Nikki Sawilchik said choir is a co-curricular – part class and part club. Students come early in the morning to practice.
“We want to show these students how awesome singing is so hopefully they’ll join us when they get to Churchill School,” she said.
District 153’s Willow School serves pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first and second graders. Churchill serves third, fourth and fifth graders.
