Teen Formal Dress Essentials Giveaway. Teens in grades 7 through 12 who have a special occasion coming up (prom, graduation, school dance) and still need an outfit can seek the perfect fit from 1 to 4 p.m. in the meeting room at Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway. Gently-used dresses (long and short), shoes, purses, jewelry, and menswear will be available. Private changing areas provided. All items are free to teens. Teen must be present in order to receive donations. Limit two outfits per teen.

Girls Scout Cookies and Craft Beer Pairing. Flossmoor Station Restaurant & Brewery, 1035 Sterling Ave., will partner with Girl Scouts at Western Avenue School to sell cookies with a side of beer from 2 to 4 p.m. The event will include a sample of five craft beers and 10 cookies.
