Experience: I am a trusted leader, currently serving a second term as trustee for the Village of Dolton. I hold a Master’s Degree in Political Science. I work in finance with small business to make sure that business is successful. My experience in policy making is what the community needs.
Policy priorities: Priorities of the 5th district are making sure that we ensure that healthcare accessibility is available to everyone. Transportation and housing resources support our community expectations, and what we look to have working with other governmental entities.
Service to constituents: I believe in being present and available to residents. This means accessible with community meetings and forming relationships with other community organizations.
Also keeping data to show progress and what residents want, and provide resources of how the county commissioner can help them get them. Always engaging the people first.
Closing statement: I believe that residents should vote for me because they have seen that I don’t mind speaking up for residents and making sure that the representation is what they deserve.
I know that the 5th District has been underserved for a long time and making sure that resources are available, healthcare access, were having legislation to progress in the Southland for the communities that need it. Budgeting and reevaluating how we can focus on more money for infrastructure in the south side of Chicago and the Southland. My dedication to the people and “People Over Politics” is what we need.

Experience: Currently, as 5th District commissioner I have advanced 300-plus policies expanding healthcare, housing, infrastructure, and Southland investment. As a Harvey native, homeowner, and Certified Illinois Assessing Officer with dual doctorates, I have led major initiatives, managed multimillion dollar budgets, and deliver practical, equitable solutions strengthening communities statewide.
Policy priorities: I will continue working collaboratively with all stakeholders to bring forth and to pass policies and resolutions addressing property tax reform, public safety and justice reform, affordable healthcare, infrastructure and economic development. I would like to see abolished the operational silos across governments and other stakeholders. Stronger communities and a sustainable economic landscape will occur when we work collectively to directly address issues with local and regional impact on the Southland.
Service to constituents: As 5th District Commissioner I will continue to be accessible, visible, and accountable by hosting public forums and meetings, participating in neighborhood activities, and conducting direct community outreach. I will leverage social media for real time updates and to share information about available resources and services. I will maintain strong communication with local leaders.
Closing statement: I am a proven servant leader grounded in faith, family, and community, committed to listening first and leading with integrity. I am not beholden to any entity, allowing me to act solely in the best interest of our communities. I will continue to advance property tax reform, strengthen public safety and justice reform, expand affordable healthcare, and prioritize infrastructure and economic development.
