Dusty Rain. Everyone who parked their vehicles outside Tuesday night woke to find surfaces splattered with muddy residue. According to the National Weather Service, the area got a dose of “dusty rain” overnight. The cause was dust and wildfire ash blown into the air by strong winds from the central and southern Plains. The particles became embedded in raindrops.

Lost Girl. The Homewood-Flossmoor High School Theatre Program will present “Lost Girl,” a story of coming-of-age exploration of first love and lasting loss. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Friday, Feb. 20, and 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the high school, 999 Kedzie Ave. in Flossmoor.
