Society meeting on Feb. 11. (Provided photo)
Will Quam will bring his entertaining presentation about the rich variety and history of bricks dating to the Great Chicago Fire to the Homewood Historical Society meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
It’s evident that not all bricks are alike. Just how much they differ may not be so obvious. The interesting role bricks have in local architecture may be little known.
Quam is a photographer for Chicago Architecture. His “Brick of Chicago” project gives tours in several different neighborhoods. He will share his photographs and informative narrative at the meeting.
The society’s business meeting starts at 6 p.m. followed by Quam’s presentation at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free, light refreshments will be served.
