Pink-a-Boo Walk of Hope. Cancer Support Center’s annual fundraiser will begin with warm up and entertainment at 8:45 a.m. in the Irwin Park bandshell. Walkers will step off at 9 a.m. Supporters can choose from two routes, a 1 mile or 5K. Both routes will take walkers through downtown Homewood. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their pink attire or Halloween costumes. Registrations are being accepted at cancersupportcenter.org. Registration fee is $35 for adults and $15 for youth. Registration will also be accepted the day of the walk.

Cancer Awareness Month. Beyond the Book, 18063 Dixie Highway, will host from 1 to 2 p.m. a guest speaker who will focus on resilience, wellness and preventive care as well as exploring the power of stories, knowledge and community in supporting health and hope.
